I went here for the first time because every other deli was closed in the area and wow so glad I came!! They have such a beautiful selection of prepared foods and everything looked so fresh. I was craving a sub so they told me to pick a bread and let them know what I wanted on my sandwich and they got right to work behind the deli. It came out exactly how I wanted and the bread was super fresh. Will absolutely be back to try more of their stuff!

I seriously can not live without Caffasso's. Industry leaders for best produce and culinary expertise! Deli guys are always working on their toes getting orders out as fast as possible, appreciate the work ethic! Place is a bit tight to get around especially on busy weekends but take your time looking or you'll miss the good stuff!

I have had food from Cafasso's that someone has bought for me and it has always been excellent and very reasonably priced. Today, for the first time, I went there -- I don;t have a car so a friend drove me today...and all I can say is, as long as there is public transportation, I will get there by hook or by crook. I came home today with burrata that is so far and away above any I have ever had in Manhattan that I felt I had been transported to Italy...this was the creamiest and freshest burrata one could imagine. And do not even get me started on the arancini. If it takes me two hours to get to Cafasso's, I will go as soon as I can for more of these. Again, we have had them but what we had in the past and what I had today are not even comparable. Ah Cafasso's, when are you going to have a shuttle bus from anywhere in NYC ?? I will buy a season pass to ride that shuttle. And I will try all sorts of things I could not carry today.

I love this store but There are a few problems. Some of their prepared foods ate inconsistant. Their gazpacho has totally been changed to a watermelon base which is not as good as the original they had for years. Sometimes it is so sweet and sometimes it is perfect. The sweet is like drinking fruit juice. Their guacamole is awful. Their onions labeled vidalia onions are not vidallia onions. Sometimes the precut fruit is not ripe enough or sweet. The prices are expensive so no excuse for this.

Came into Cafasso's, in order to pick up their delicious gelato cups. I have attached a picture of the cooler, where they house the happiness. So, look for the Bindi cooler and choose your favorite(s). Not only is the gelato ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS, but you'll also have decorative glasses, afterwards. I cannot recommend this gelato, enough, and know that you'll agree...... and repeat.

Great local market with fresh produce and groceries. A friend brought me here to grab some items during my visit and I loved it! They have plenty of fresh fruits + vegetables, and a large area of prepared foods. We asked what happens to the food left over each day, and they said there's typically not food left which is impressive since there's so much. They also have your typical non-perishables and pantry items. The majority of their prices are reasonable, especially in the produce section. Checkout staff may not be the friendliest or most helpful. Still worth checking out. ambience: 5/5 food/product selection: 4.5/5 service: 3.5/5 Cafasso's Fairway Market: 4.3/5

  • Fresh Prepared Foods: Cafasso's takes pride in its stunning array of prepared dishes. Mary A. discovered this for herself during a visit when she was searching for a good deli. She was thrilled with the fresh ingredients used in her sub, which was crafted precisely to her liking.
  • Culinary Expertise: The deli staff is renowned for their fast service and culinary prowess. Stephy B. mentioned that Cafasso's is "industry leaders for best produce," indicating their commitment to quality.
  • Signature Delights: Customers rave about the burrata, described as "creamiest and freshest" by another fan who felt transported to Italy. Similarly, their arancini has received accolades for its exceptional taste—so much so that some travelers will go to great lengths to enjoy them.

However, like any establishment, Cafasso's has room for improvement. A few diners have noted inconsistencies in some prepared foods, such as the altered gazpacho recipe and occasional pricing issues. This feedback reflects an active engagement with quality, something the management will surely keep in mind to refine their offerings further.
